Dubai, Friday 6 November 2026. Gold eased this morning after a strong week. In Dubai, 24K is AED 489.75 a gram, 22K is AED 453.50, 21K is AED 434.75 and 18K is AED 372.75. Rates are down AED 3.50 on 24K from the previous session and below Thursday morning’s AED 498.50.
Spot gold is near $4,080 an ounce. It rose about $250 from the 30 October low of $3,869.85 and touched $4,146.63 on 5 November. Lower US yields and a softer dollar drove the rally. Today the US releases October jobs data. Markets expect about 65,000 new jobs.
What it means for wholesale buyers: Prices can move sharply this evening, Dubai time. A strong jobs number could lift the dollar and pull gold lower. A weak one could push gold back towards this week’s high.
Example: A 10g 22K chain costs AED 4,535 in gold value at today’s rate, before making charges and VAT.
Advice for partners: Split large 22K orders into two parts. Fix one part today and keep the rest for after the jobs data and next Tuesday’s US inflation figures.
The honest caution: Gold has swung more than AED 10 a gram in two days. No one can promise which way the next move goes.
